The Roots of My Family Tree

Synopsis: The narrator tells the reader that “The roots [to her family tree] spread out both far and wide touching countries on every side.” After telling where her ancestors are from, she concludes with “Do you have a tree like me, with a diverse history? If you do be proud to share, that you belong to countries everywhere!”
Rationale for classroom use: The is a great short book that celebrates diversity.
